Braconidae (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonoidea) Collected in a Native Forest Area in Itumbiara, Goiás, Brazil Neotropical Entomology
MARCHIORI,CARLOS H.; PENTEADO-DIAS,ANGÉLICA M..
This research work was carried out in order to identify the genera of Braconidae (Hymenoptera) collected in a remnant area of native forest in Itumbiara County, State of Minas Gerais, Brazil, using Malaise traps. The Malaise trap captures the insects by interception. After 24 sample collections, a total of 49 specimens from 19 different genera and 10 subfamilies were obtained. The most frequent genus was Chelomus with 34.7% frequency. March and June were the months of highest occurrence of Braconidae.

Os Ichneumonidae (Hymenoptera) da Estação Ecológica da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, Belo Horizonte, com ênfase nas espécies de Pimplinae Rev. Bras. entomol.
Kumagai,Alice Fumi.
The Ichneumonidae (Hymenoptera) of the Estação Ecológica of the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, Belo Horizonte, with emphasis on the Pimplinae species. In one annual cycle 83,712 insects were captured, of which 2,339 were Ichneumonidae, belonging to 17 subfamilies; they were collected by a Malaise trap placed in a montane semidecidual seasonal forest, inside the campus. Among the collected ichneumonids there were 13 genera and 30 species of Pimplinae, of which Pimpla croceiventris was the most frequent species. The species richness of Pimplinae was greater in the ecological station in Belo Horizonte, MG than in other localities studied.

Sazonalidade de Nyssodrysina lignaria (Bates) (Coleoptera, Cerambycidae, Lamiinae), no Estado do Paraná, Brasil Zoologia
Marinoni,Renato C.; Ganho,Norma G..
As part of two surveys in the state of Paraná, Nyssodrysina lignaria (Bates, 1864) (Cerambycidae, Coleoptera) was sampled using malaise traps. One of the surveys was developed in eight different sites (Antonina, São José dos Pinhais, Colombo, Ponta Grossa, Telêmaco Borba, Jundiaí do Sul, Guarapuava e Fênix) from August 1986 to July 1987 and another one in five areas in different conditions of forest conservation, all located at Vila Velha, Ponta Grossa, from September 1999 to August 2000. The data indicate that the seasonality is congruent with the conditions found in temperate regions, with an activity peak in the spring-summer months. In the beginning of fall a second peak of abundance was observed, but not as high as in the spring-summer. These two...

Sazonalidade de três espécies de Syrphidae (Insecta, Diptera) capturadas com armadilha Malaise no Estado do Paraná, Brasil Zoologia
Marinoni,Luciane; Bonatto,Sionei Ricardo.
The project "Survey of the Entomolo-gical Fauna in Paraná" (PROFAUPAR) was carried out in eight localities of Paraná, Brazil, during two years. In the first year a total of 1.607 specimens of Syrphidae were collected with Malaise trap. The species Toxomerus tibicen (Wiedemann, 1830), Microdon milis Curran, 1940 and Leucopodella gracilis (Williston, 1891) were the most abundant. The abundance and seasonality of each species are evaluated.

Costacurta,Nise do C.; Carvalho,Claudio J.B. de.
Neurotrixa Shannon & Del Ponte is redescribed, based on the exam of the type-specimen of Anthomyia felsina Walker, to include two new species: Neurotrixa marinonii sp. nov. and N. sulina sp. nov., both species from Colombo, PR, southern Brazil. A diagnosis of Neurotrixa and a key for three species of the genus are also included.
